Saw Jason Polan wandering around, celebrity spotting and drawing at the New York Art Book Fair. I once read something to the effect of "We will no longer have our 15 minutes of fame, but rather, we will be famous to 15 others" I like that. It makes spotting Jason Polan, Jeff Mangum, John Wood and Dave Heath feel a little less screamy-Beatles-fandorky. The only celebrity I spotted while living in California - Barenaked Ladies frontman Steven Page. In the Toronto airport (YYZ), so it didn't really count. He had a cute wife and two little doppelgangers.
